The hair arrangement imitates the squash blossom and indicates virginity. Within the last decade it has become rare, except on ceremonial occasions.

Wow. That's amazing. I love the way you do shading. It's so unusual. And the lines and highlights in the hair are exceptional. I love the sort of misty fade effect at the bottom of the piece. How did you do that? Was it rubbed out?

yep, i used my trusty Pink Pearl eraser and erased through mult-layered penciling...
